Troops of teddies took a leap of faith from St Keverne Church tower on Saturday as the village celebrated Easter in the square.
Children enjoyed activities including ball games, egg painting and an Easter bonnet competition, while adults were able to savour a free hot cross bun.
Organiser Howard Bray said: “It was above our prayers and expectations: the atmosphere with the people who came to visit and the excitement of them and the children.
“The team work from the church people was wonderful, the atmosphere was unbelievable. It was lovely.
“The children and the adults thought it was amazing.”
The event was organised by the village's Anglican congregation, along with the Methodists, and there was a prayer station, where the public pinned their prayers to a cross which was later carried into the church, while parishioners carried out a personal beliefs survey.
All the activities and refreshments were free, and Mr Bray said the church hopes to hold the same event next year.
