St Bartholomew’s Church in Porthleven will host two concerts during the port’s upcoming Food and Music Festival.

On Friday, April 24, at 6.30pm there will be Strings and Pimms when, led by violinist  Sue Watson, the Classical Strings Quartet will perform a ­programme including Mozart, Brahms, Franck and a selection of Cornish and Celtic melodies. Tickets cost £7.50 including a glass of Pimms.

Then the next night, again at 6.30pm, Mounts Bay Singers, led by Sheila Farmer, will be on stage. Tickets cost £7 including a glass of wine. Proceeds from this ­concert will go to the the Mike Edwards Fund for Porthleven Defibrillators.
