The Rotary Club of Cober Valley held its sixth annual charity golf day earlier this month when £2,500 was raised for CHICKS, which offers respite breaks for disadvantaged children.
The event was held at West Cornwall Golf Club in St Ives and saw 21 teams from local businesses, golf clubs and Rotary Clubs taking part. The format was a shotgun start with teams of four with two scores to count, plus there were additional prizes for longest drive, nearest the pin and two's.
The winning team was Helston-Lizard Rotary Club with Mitchell and Son Builders, second and Jean-Ann's team coming in third place.
