Pupils at Nansloe Academy in Helston ditched books for boogying last week when they took part in a charity danceathon.
The youngsters were taught a new dance by Jo Simms and Eloise Roseby from the Ocean Academy of Dance throughout the day and they came together for a mass performance at the end of the school day.
Their efforts raised £143.70 which has been donated to Cancer Research UK. Jo, principal of the dance school, said: “It was wonderful working with the children at Nansloe Academy - they were so enthusiastic, their approach to the workshops and their final performance was amazing and we felt the day was very successful.
“As I was leaving and passed some of the children, they individually thanked me and said how much fun they had had and all for such a worthy cause.”
