Crime in Helston appeared to be down in May compared to the same period last year, with 27 crimes reported to police compared to 36 in May 2014.
As well as reporting a decrease in reported crime, PC Anne Butcher told town councillors in a written statement that there was a "slight decrease" in reported incidents, down to 115.
She added: "The freedom parade passed off well [on Thursday], apart from one person who had an unhelpful attitude toward an officer regarding parking in the road closure area.
"The rest of the community got behind the event and supported it."
