PUPILS at two primary schools on the Lizard peninsula are settling into brand new classrooms thanks to CIS (UK) Ltd.

The company had submitted a tender to Keskowethyans Multi Academy Trust (MAT), bidding to replace two buildings which had seen better days at St Keverne and Grade Ruan Schools. MD Andrew Sangster said: “Whilst the primary reason for the decision by MAT to nominate CIS was based on cost, it was also the limited time we proposed to be on site that contributed towards their decision. Given the extremely limited access at both sites - particularly at St Keverne - we made the delivery / installation element look easy.”

With works overseen by the Diocese of Truro’s school buildings team, CIS provided a bespoke turn-key solution for the schools’ needs, taking responsibility for all elements of both schemes including design, building regulations, and all associated site works such as foundations and access arrangements.

Mr Sangster added: “CIS were aware that the budget for these schemes was limited so, as a gesture of goodwill for being such fantastic clients to work with, we donated two brand new overhead projectors at Grade Ruan School to enable the children to enjoy their classrooms even more."
