For the first time ever, Tregonning, a developing garden close to Helston, will open its gates to the public for a few hours in September to raise money for National Gardens Scheme charities.

Six years ago the small garden at Tregonning, it’s less than an acre, was nothing more than a pond and a copse of trees, 300ft up the north east side of a hill, constantly battered by storm force winds. Dedication, determination and many hours of loving attention have transformed the patch into a garden of year-round interest featuring a sculpted grass meadow and a self-sufficient vegetable and soft fruit paddock.

Owners Andrew and Kathryn Eaton have offered to open to the public between 11am and 4pm on Sunday, September 6, not only to raise money on behalf of the NGS, but also to inspire other gardeners. Entrance will be £3.50, children free.
