Porthleven Community Group is holding its annual Torchlight Procession in the town on Bank Holiday Monday, August 31 - an event which always proves popular with residents and tourists.
As well as providing an opportunity for the community to get together, this year the event will also raise money towards building a new skate park in Porthleven.Torches can be bought in advance from the Four Crows Gallery in Porthleven or on the day from 5.30pm outside the Harbour Inn.
There will also be glowstick bracelets for sale by Cober Valley Rotary Club with all proceeds going towards the Porthleven Skate Park project. The procession will feature Porthleven Town Band and all are welcome. Anyone taking part should congregate outside the Harbour Inn at 8pm for a 8.15pm start.
