Arson is suspected after a gorse fire burned across a more than 10 metre square patch of land at Rinsey near Praa Sands yesterday afternoon [Sunday].
Firefighters from Penzance were called to the cliff top at about 5.40pm, and found a fire in an area of gorse measuring approximately 20 by 10 metres, before using beaters to put it out.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Arson is suspected as the cause and Devon and Cornwall Police have been informed."
