Helston Community College opened its doors to give parents and children from local primary schools the chance to tour the school and get a taste of the facilities and opportunities it has to offer.
The response was "fantastic" with several hundred parents and children accepting the invitation to pay a visit. Head teacher, Donna Bryant, welcomed the guests and spoke to them about the values and approaches of the Co-operative Trust school and what it has to offer the children in the community.
Visitors were shown around the college by guides from year seven and staff were on hand to provide a flavour of the exciting active learning opportunities available. The college has received many expressions of thanks and praise for what was a very successful evening indeed.
