The residents of Ruan Minor and Cadgwith on the Lizard peninsula now have two defibrillators thanks to a programme of fundraising and generous donations.
Each village now has one of the lifesaving devices available to use day or night, with the machine in Cadgwith Cove on the wall of the Watch House gift shop and that in Ruan Minor located in the porch of the surgery.
Fundraising began last November with a concert by The Grace Notes in Ruan Minor village hall, and funding for the appeal included money from from Ruan Minor Parish Council and Grade Ruan Community Trust among other organisations.
Training for the defibrillators was given by Paul Williams of the Ronnie Richards Memorial Charity, which provided both machines.
