Crews from Helston and Mullion Community Fire Stations were sent to a light fitting fire in a large residential building on Godolphin Road in Helston on Friday evening.
Firefighters were called to the 30 room, 4 storey building at around 7.15pm due to a in an office on the first floor.
Crew members wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet and one dry powder extinguisher to put out the small fire.
A fire service spokesperson said the fire was "accidental and confined."
