The annual Holly Fair held at St Corentyn's Church in Cury was another successful affair, attracting streams of people who were keen to bag a bargain for Christmas while supporting a good cause.

There were lots of stalls selling a variety of gifts and those manning them were kept busy with visitors viewing and buying the goods. By the end of the event, held in the Village Hall, over £200 had been raised which will go towards St Corentyn's Church tower/bell fund.

Pene Oates has thanked everyone who had stalls, those who came to buy, the ladies in the kitchen who were kept busy selling their hot soup and teas, Jenny Rigg on the raffle and Phil Greet for keeping the commentary going.

Next year the Holly Fair will be on November 12, so if you want a stall book as soon as possible with Priscilla on 01326 240887.
