Questions have been raised over the legality of solar panels in Helston's conservation areas.
Town councillor John Boase queried the legislation after seeing two homes with panels in an historic part of the town.
Town clerk Chris Dawson said that, when investigating putting solar panels on the Guildhall, he had been told any visible from the ground would have to be taken out of the proposal.
Mr Boase will now take photographs of the two homes ahead of the next meeting tomorrow (Thursday).
