St Keverne will welcome 300 bards later this year when it hosts the 2016 Cornish Gorsedh.
A proclamation service on April 16 will see the parish officially inviting the bards of Gorsedh Kernow ahead of the main festival on September 3 that, weather permitting, will take place in marquees on the recreation field.
The week leading up to the festival is known as "esedhvos", with competitions for children and adults in skills such as poetry and music, concluding with an awards ceremony at the parish church on September 1.
A conference debating a major issue involving Cornish identity or culture will take place on the eve of the festival, with a coffee morning offering a taster of the Cornish language on the Sunday.
