Investigations have begun into what work is needed to halt the deterioration of St Mawgan in Meneage Parish Church.
Last Friday the churchwardens met with chartered surveyor David Scott of Scott and Company, and Chris Miners of Historic England.
They looked at the necessary repairs to the damaged roof and building, so that a detailed brief could be drawn up ahead of looking for estimates for the work.
This initial work will be made possible thanks to development funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
