Families looking for some magical entertainment this week should follow the "second star to the right and straight on til morning".

This will lead them straight to Helston Community College, where students are performing Peter Pan over three nights this week.

Starting tonight (Wednesday) and continuing until Friday, more than 100 performers, including dancers and gymnasts, will be bringing JM Barrie’s classic children’s adventure story to life, having worked on the production since September.

Old favourites, including villainous pirate Captain Hook and his loveable sidekick Mister Smee, plus of course Wendy, Tigerlily and Peter Pan himself – will be joined by a host of new characters, who will bring fresh comedy to the play.

Tinkerbell is joined by a band of Cornish piskies and the audience need to beware of the roaming crocodile.

Tickets are available from the north site college reception costing £5 for adults and £2.50 for children. Alternatively call 01326 572685. Each show begins at 7.30pm, in the south site hall.

The students gave a special show for year six pupils from surrounding primary schools on Monday, as a final chance to polish their performances ahead of the opening night this evening.
