Firefighters have spent almost five hours of the night tackling a fire at a business in Helston.
One crew from Helston was initially sent to St John's Business Park on the Penzance Road at 2.15am to reports of a rubbish fire - but it soon became apparent the situation was much worse.
On arriving they found a fire measuring 60 metres by 20 metres, at the corner of Aztek Computers, from where smoke was billowing out.
Crews from Mullion and Falmouth were called in to help as the firefighters from Helston got to work tackling the flames with a jet.
Half an hour later another two crews were called for, as well as an aerial platform to get some height.
At 3.45am five appliances were on scene, along with specialist equipment, with crews trying to get access to the external cladding on the building via a ladder and using a zip gun.
At 5am 'good progress' was reported as being made and back up crews began returning to their home stations.
The fire was fully extinguished by 7am and all resources had left the scene.
It is believed that the fire started in bins next to the building and the flames then spread to the shop itself.
