In one week’s time The Masked Ball will throw open the doors to The Manor, a cliff-top festival site purpose-built for pleasure – and even the planets are aligning for an out-of-this-world experience.

It will literally be a once-in-a-blue-moon event as, on May 21, there will be a seasonal blue moon - the third of four full moons between the March equinox and the June solstice of 2016. While the Saturday will be a wonderful night for a moon dance, the rest of weekend is shaping up to be just as magical.

The creative team behind Cornwall’s biggest party are busy building the most elaborate and interactive experience in the event’s history, as they prepare to celebrate a decade of decadence across multiple themed ‘rooms’.

Having brought in some of the finest headline acts on the scene - including 2ManysDJs, Groove Armada and Basement Jaxx - this three-day birthday binge is shaping up to be the most memorable Masked Ball yet.

For their 10-year anniversary the team of friends behind the madness have personally selected the finest boutique market and food offerings. Whether you fancy Mexican, Italian or a flavour of the west country, all tastes will be catered for. The Flying Machine Café will also offer a vibrant venue, with organically sourced food and drink, beautiful bespoke décor, paintings - and the best selection of music from their in-house stage and DJs.

Prospective DJs were given the chance to win a prime set - and see their names billed alongside the likes of legendary Norman Jay MBE, drum and bass institution London Elektricity, rave royalty Julio Bashmore, Radio 1 voice of beats B.Traits and many more. After thousands of votes, the winners have been announced as Fergus Lessels, Hidin and Jon Worsley – be sure to catch their sets over the weekend.

All Ballers are encouraged to arrive dressed up and take part in the Yoga Rave which will take place on Saturday and Sunday before the first acts in The Terrace. Warm up the evenings improprieties by giving the body a good old detox at the Yoga Rave - an hour to get twisted up or wind down.

On ‘Feast Friday’ the glamorous Grand Ballroom will host an informal dining event, featuring a sumptuous spread of Cornish cuisine, followed by an after-dinner disco. Saturday will see thousands of ‘Ballers’ dressed to impress as they explore the maze-like Manor’s many rooms – and dance until dawn breaks over Mount’s Bay. Sunday will rejuvenate weary party animals with the Village Fete, featuring pig racing, veg bowling, a coconut shy and slippy-slide, plus live performances from comedians and theatre -  before headliners Basement Jaxx close the weekend like only they can.

The stage is now being set to make this Masked Ball a legendary weekender of epic tomfoolery that goes down in history. So join us and dress-up, get-down - and howl at the moon - to celebrate 10 amazing years of the west’s greatest parties.
