There are some last minute tickets to this year’s tenth anniversary Masked Ball in Porthleven tonight.

Organisers have updated anyone concerned about conditions for the event, saying: “The weather has rapidly improved at The Masked Ball and we’re looking great for a dry, mild afternoon into the wee hours tomorrow morning.

“There are no traffic / parking issues and the site has drained well.”

There are still some last tickets on the gate, which will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

“People are already putting on a show and some the costumes are absolutely amazing,” added the event spokesman.

Basement Jaxx and Mike Skinner are among the acts preparing to mark the tenth anniversary of the event.

Taking place under the heading “Celebrating a decade of decadence”, this year’s birthday bonanza sees a full three-day weekend of events for the first time, starting last night and continuing through to tomorrow evening.

Big name acts include Basement Jaxx, Jungle and Mike Skinner, formerly of The Streets, who will all be performing DJ sets.

They are being joined by the likes of Julio Bashmore, Paul Woolford, B.Traits and Horse Meat Disco for one of Cornwall’s biggest parties of the year, also features a host of performers over 12 music and entertainment stages.
