An investigation is launched following large fire near Mullion (stock photo)
Police have launched an investigation after a large fire was started on moorland near Mullion last night.
Smoke could be seen billowing high into the air from the Predannick area, after a large amount of rubbish was set alight.
Firefighters from Mullion were scrambled at 10.30pm after being contacted by concerned members of the public who had spotted the blaze from Mullion.
The crew found a sizeable fire, but with no one in sight.
They used hosereels to put out the flames before passing the details onto the police and the Environment Agency for further investigation.
