Family members have paid tribute to a Helston woman who was killed in a crash on the A30 near Penryn nearly two weeks ago.

Rebecca Watkins, known as Beca, died near Treluswell roundabout after her 125cc motorcycle was involved in a collision with a green VW Polo just before 5.30am on Monday, September 19.

The family of Beca, who was aged 30, have paid tribute to the "selfless and beautiful" young woman, who was born in Bath but had moved to Helston and was living with her fiancée.

Parents Ian and Geraldine, brothers David and Ben, and sister Gabi, said she was "well travelled and cultured," and "expressed herself through her art whether this be writing letters, short poems, sketching or simply cooking."

The family issued a statement from police, which said: “Beca touched so many people's lives on her travels, gaining lasting friendships and making memories. She will be greatly missed by all that have been blessed to have had a part of Beca in their lives.”

Beca’s mother said: "Words cannot convey the bond created by someone like Bec, who gave without limits, a selfless beautiful person."

And her fiancée

Beca’s fiancée Michelle Gallimore added: “We found each other when neither of us were looking and instantly connected. Beca taught me so much in life and her ability to love and give unconditionally.

“She had the brightest smile, the biggest heart and the ability to know just what to say.

“She truly completed me.”

Police continue to appeal for witnesses to the collision, and would like to hear from anyone who has any information that could help with their investigations.
