Keen cyclists from around the country were spurred on by spectacular scenery and beautiful sunshine whilst taking part in the Land’s End 100 Sportive on Sunday.

Organised by the Cornwall-based charity Tempus Leisure, the event’s sixth year proved more popular than ever with more than 500 riders taking part.

The rides offered a choice of three routes of varying distances, 75km, 100km, or the full 100 miles, each of them taking in some of Cornwall’s most stunning scenery, and all starting and finishing in Marazion and headed to Land’s End, with the longest route also making its way around the Lizard peninsula.

Ceri Harvey, community leisure events manager at Tempus Leisure, said: “The Land’s End 100 is a challenging event but great fun, and we certainly had the weather on our side this year. Competitors and spectators alike were able to enjoy the stunning west Cornwall scenery at its very best.

“We would like to offer sincere thanks to One and All Cycling Club for their help manning registration and the feed stations at the event. Thank you also to St Aubyn Estate for their support.”
