To commemorate those servicemen and women who gave their lives in both World Wars and all the campaigns since, a Service of Remembrance took place at RNAS Culdrose, on Sunday.

All serving personnel and their families were invited to attend the annual service which took place at the masthead beside the Garden of Remembrance. The parade was led by the Commanding Officer, Captain Dan Stembridge, and the service was conducted by The Rev Janice Honey-Morgan and the Rev Andrew Corness.

Wreaths were laid by Captain Stembridge, the president of the Warrant Officer and Senior Ratings' Mess; a Junior Rating; the Mayor of Helston, Gillian Geer; 849 Naval Air Squadron, the Royal Naval Association, the South Atlantic Association, the WRNS Association, the Royal British Legion, the Territorial Army, the Royal Air Force Association, the Cornwall Association of Reserve and Retired Naval Officers, Cornwall Council and Porthleven Town Council.

In the afternoon, a platoon of personnel also marched through Truro where they joined other military, cadet and veteran organisations from across Cornwall.

Personnel also attended Remembrance ceremonies and marches throughout the county, including at Falmouth, Porthleven, Marazion, Camborne, Praze-an-Beeble, St Merryn, Penryn, Mawgan, Mullion, St Keverne and Coverack, Illogan, Breage, Tregony and Redruth.
