Organisers behind a popular South-West dance music event have released their first line-up announcement.

The Masked Ball, held in Porthleven, returns on May 26 for another fantastic event, featuring some of the biggest names in the dance-music industry to ever grace the South West.

The theme this year will be 'The Underworld', and will include a special time-travelling train journey.

As in previous years, the Masked Ball are saving the best announcements for last, but have already confirmed there will be special venues this year, including a 1930s speak-easy club, a Bristol dub club and a New York disco.

Artists confirmed for this years event include 45 Live, Bocawoody, DJ Food, Durty Disco, Jelly Jazz, Norman Jay MBE, PBR Streetgang and Psychemajik.

Kelvin Batt, director of the Masked Ball, said: "'A Voyage Through the Underworld' is a totally new concept at the ball.

"We've got a train to pick people up at Masked Ball Central Station and transport them around a series of themed venues, where they can hop off where they like - and really go off the rails.

"This carefully curated production has been in the making for several years and we're really excited to be able to bring it to life in 2017.

"We're taking the Masked Ball back to its roots. We're focusing on the event and shenanigans so we can immerse the ballers more in the surroundings."
