Concerns have been raised over a private helicopter taking off and landing on the Lizard Peninsula and the potential safety implications.
Ian and Angela Carey wrote to St Keverne Parish Council asking for advice after a "frightening experience" while walking their dog.
They said that on more than one occasion while walking the back lanes between St Keverne and Manaccan they had been next to the helicopter taking off "just a few metres behind the hedge."
They wrote: "On the last occasion when walking with our dog, a significant amount of debris was blown from the hedge, hitting us all. This was a frightening experience and reason for raising this issue, as we believe it is unsafe for road users.
"This is particularly concerning as horse riders frequently use the road and a helicopter taking off metres away without warning could be very dangerous."
Attending last week's meeting of the parish council was the helicopter's owner Matt Lugg, who said he flew "twice, maybe three times a month" for his own personal use.
He added that his licence did not allow him within 500ft of any built up area and he stressed he was "sensitive" about his flying, going out to sea to minimise disruption.
Mr Lugg promised that if he saw anyone when landing or taking off he would wait until they had gone past.
It was agreed the parish council would also write to the highways department of Cornwall Council to pass on the details in the letter.
