Two sisters have been given the honour of leading this year’s Early Morning and Evening Dances on Flora Day.

As the Packet went to press it was revealed that Lisa Robson will be first leading lady, while her sister Lucy Bassett will be second lady.

Lisa, 34, will be partnered by her usual dance partner Shaun Howells, with the pair promoted from the position of second lead couple which they held in 2015.

Decorated Royal Navy serviceman Shaun is no stranger to leading, having led St Michael’s Primary School when in year six and later the whole Children’s Dance while at Helston Community College.

Graham Cook will make up the remainder of the lead set, partnered with Lucy.

They will open the day's dancing at 7am on May 6 and then end it with the final dance of the day, starting at 5pm.

Interviews next week.
