You’d be a fool to miss the new exhibition of Helston photographer Keith Richards when it starts on April 1.

Called “From Bee to Sea,” the exhibition features a series of photos of bees, as well as other fauna and flora, alongside a wide range of seascapes.

Taking place in the Mezzanine Gallery of Helston Museum, it begins this Saturday for two weeks, until April 15.

Keith, who is also a Helston Packet freelance photographer, describes his work as having a “slightly abstract, painterly feel.”

He said: “This is especially true of my seascapes, all taken locally, where the use of a slow shutter speed captures movement in the waves. This look is enhanced by the high quality, slightly textured paper on which the images are printed.”

The limited edition framed prints will be available to buy and there will also be a selection of greetings cards on sale.

Keith will be in the gallery during the first morning of the exhibition said he would be delighted to see everyone for a chat and to share some tea and biscuits, which are being laid on by the museum’s trustees and volunteers.

The museum is open 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday and will be closed Good Friday.
