The watch is an 18ct gold Rolex day/date type, model 18238 with the serial number E348413.

DC Martin Hearn of Helston CID said: “The man has been described as white, approximately 6ft tall with dark, greying hair and stubble. He was wearing thick rimmed glasses, a black leather jacket, blue jeans and white shoes.”

“We would particularly like to hear from anyone who saw a man of this description in the area at the time of the burglary from Wearne’s Jewellers.

“We would also urge anyone to come forward who has been offered for sale a watch like the one that was stolen and are uncertain of where it came from.”
