A spurned lover is auctioning off his ex's engagement ring for charity but warns it comes with a catch: "supernatural powers."

The tongue-in-cheek listing has been made by Sean Baxter from Helston, who is giving interested parties the chance to bid on what he describes as a "satanic engagement ring," up until 7pm this Friday.

Sean states that the princess cut diamond ring, with a channel setting platinum band, cost him "over a grand" to buy.

However, he warns: "Purchaser must be aware that this ring conceals supernatural powers and will turn anything it touches into pure evil."

Whilst presumably more of a humorous jibe at his ex than a genuine warning, one thing Sean is serious about is that the entire sum of money raised by the sale will go to the charity of the purchaser's choosing.

Although unable to remember the specific details about the, such as its size - although he thinks it's a "smaller size ring" - he believes the band is platinum.

Sean adds: "It's a lovely piece of jewellery. I want something good to come of this ring though and all that it stood for."

The ring is being auctioned on Facebook in the For Sale, Wanted or Swap in Helston and Surrounding Area group.
