Coastline Housing has signed a new contract with its subsidiary company Coastline Services to give over 4,000 homes across Cornwall external maintenance including a fresh coat of paint and other improvements.
The rather large paint job will see Coastline Services employees using enough paint to cover the equivalent of over 100 football pitches in the next five years.
Mark Hill, general manager at Coastline Services, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be working with Coastline Housing on such a large scale project. We’re also delighted that the project has created nine jobs for local painters, all of whom live in Coastline’s heartland and take a great pride in helping to brighten up local neighbourhoods and streets.”
The project has started in Porthleven and will continue to work its way around Cornwall over the coming months and years.
Mark England, head of technical services at Coastline Housing, added: “This is part of a rolling programme of maintenance we carry out to make sure all our homes are kept in the best condition they can be for our customers and their local communities. We’re very happy to be working with Coastline Services on this contract and we’re sure our customers will be pleased too.”
