Smoke filled a house in Porthleven yesterday evening after a fire broke out.
A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue has been speaking of the moment crews from Helston and Tolvaddon were called to a detached house in The Gue just after 9pm.
It was discovered that an electrical fire had broken out in the Rayburn of the property, resulting in the house filling with thick smoke.
The crews were forced to wear breathing equipment while they put out the fire with a hosereel jet and isolated the main electrics and oil, under the direction of a fire officer.
Firefighters then cleared the house of smoke and fitted two smoke detectors being leaving.
