Schedules are now available for Helston Fatstock Show, which this year will be held in a brand new building.

Taking place on Monday, November 6, all classes will actually be held under one roof thanks to the support of Bob Cowell, who is open up his new building at Franchis Farm, Wendron, opposite Wheal Dream.

There is free entry in all domestic classes, which are open to everyone. There are sections for vegetables, eggs, baking, crafts and photography, as well as the agricultural side of cattle and sheep.

New for 2017, there will also be space allocated for local produce and craft stallholders to promote and sell their goods.

Schoolchildren from Garras and Sithney primary schools will visit the show in morning and afternoon sessions. They will be guided around the show and it is hoped that this will help with learning about ‘Farm to Fork’ in their school curriculum. The visit will be supported by Nikki Walker, community champion at Tesco Helston.

Entries close on Wednesday, October 25. Find more information on Facebook on the Helston Fatstock Show page or contact secretary Margaret Eva on 01326 572004 or helstonfatstockshow@outlook.com.
