Breage and Germoe Bridleways Association's 14th annual horse show took place on the second attempt after torrential rain forced the original date to the abandoned.

The change of date proved to be a good decision, though as the sun blazed all day and the organising committee were delighted with the turn-out. With a spectacular back drop of Mount's Bay, spectators were also treated to some classy horses and ponies, with a variety of classes.

Erin Edwards and her stunning Appaloosa Inca took the title of Supreme Champion, and was closely followed by Kathryn Benney and Meelick Island Jenny who took reserve. Kathryn and Jenny went on to take the best combination championship.

The younger Benney sister, Becky won the hotly contested timed over obstacles Bridleways Challenge with a time of 34.97 seconds. Her closest rival was Ella Bracegirdle who completed the course in 35.25 seconds. The excitement didn't stop there, with show jumping, working hunter and fun classes.

Show secretary Linda Matthews wants to thank the hard working helpers, the competitors and Councillor John Keeling and his wife for the use of the show ground. "We look forward to next year's show which will celebrate our 15th annual show," said Linda. "New members to the Bridleways Group are always welcome and to learn more just look on our Facebook group."
