A planned fireworks spectacular in Porthleven has had to be cancelled as Storm Brian heads towards Cornwall.
The organisers said: "Due to the incoming storm we have taken the decision to cancel the fireworks spectacular.
"We are absolutely gutted as it takes six months to plan this community charity event however the gales won."
Refunds will be available from Porthleve School office after half term.
The organisers had earlier said that they would be scaling down the event, as the storm would make it too unsafe to have the marquee up, but they had thought the fireworks and indoor entertainment would go ahead.
