The Cury Hunt was confronted by a lone anti-hunt protestor when they and their supporters gathered for the annual Boxing Day get together.
However, the protestor was outnumbered by supporters who gathered in the village to see off the hounds and horses.
Fox hunting with dogs was banned in 2004. Hunts now just follow a scent.
The prime minister Theresa May had promised to repeal the ban but, following the loss of her majority in the last general election, this now appears to have been shelved.
The Cury Hunt gathers on Boxing Day every year.
