Part of Porthleven has been left impassable this afternoon after the river burst its banks.
The area around Porthleven Football Club’s Gala Parc ground, in particular the end of Mill Lane and Methleigh Bottoms, has been most affected.
Brown muddy water covers the road at more than a foot deep and ducks have even been swimming down the road.
It is after the river that runs down the side of Methleigh Bottoms finally burst its banks, after threatening to overflow for much of the afternoon.
One resident of that area posted on Facebook to warn: “Bottom of Mill Lane and the Bottoms impassable.”
That section has now been closed off, although other routes into the port remain passable at this time.
