A LARGE quantity of class A drugs have been found after a police raid in Helston.
The raid yesterday afternoon was in response to an increase in thefts from motor vehicles across West Cornwall since the new year.
The Falmouth & Helston Neighbourhood Team, supported by the Force Support Group have been developing intelligence that lead to a warrant being executed in the outskirts of Helston.
Officers found a quantity of Class A drugs. A large amount of power tools were also found and the suspects are to be interviewed.
Commenting on the raid Insp Ian Thompson said: “Officers are now working hard to try and link the power tools to specific thefts and conducting forensic examinations. The successful warrant demonstrates our ability to react to emerging issues that is directly effecting our communities.
"It is vitally important that people keep a record of valuable items, taking photos, recording serial numbers of uniquely marking property so that if someone is unfortunate enough to be a victim of crime it gives the police a realistic opportunity of reuniting the owner with their property and successfully prosecuting offenders. If anyone has been a victim of crime or has information relating to recent vehicle thefts, then please report it to the Police by calling 101.
