A DRINK driver who failed to stop at the scene of an accident in St Keverne has been banned from driving for three and a half years.

Damien Lee Anderton, aged 31, of no fixed address, caused injury to another person in Lemon Street, before making off without giving his name and address when asked.

When later given a breath test, he had 82mcgs of alcohol in 100mcgs of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He also received a £745 fine and was ordered to pay £105 costs and £75 victim surcharge.

A REDRUTH man has been ordered to wear an electronic tag for nine weeks after driving while disqualified.

Truro magistrates imposed the community order on 23 year-old Jack Gary Curry, of Chapel Street, after he drove a Volkswagen Golf in the town on March 23.

Curry pleaded guilty to the offence and also admitted driving with no insurance and no MoT.

He was also banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay costs of £105 and £85 victim surcharge.

A 50 year-old man who destroyed the rear windscreen of a car to the value of £250 has been fined by Truro magistrates.

Edward Simpson Charles Lees, of Enys Road, Camborne, admitted the offence which took place in Redruth on March 31.

A RESTRAINING order has been placed on a Truro man who damaged a television of an Illogan Highway woman.

Liam David John Marshall, aged 26, of Treffry Road, must not contact the woman whose television he damaged, or enter a named housing estate in Illogan Highway, or enter or loiter outside her place of work in Redruth. The order lasts for 12 months.

He admitted damaging the television and received a conditional discharge for 12 months and was also ordered to pay £500 compensation, costs of £135 and a £20 victim surcharge.

A REDRUTH man who destroyed a kitchen window of a property in Murdoch Close has been given a conditional discharge for 12 months by Truro magistrates.

Michael Edward Richards, aged 27, admitted the offence and was also ordered to pay £151.45 compensation and £20 victim surcharge.

A MAN who set fire to a cushion has been sent to prison for 16 weeks by Truro magistrates.

Scott Daniel Robinson, aged 26, of Loggans Road, Hayle, admitted damaging the pink cushion belonging to a Redruth woman. He also admitted making a threatening phone call, causing distress or anxiety to the same victim.

He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £115.

A FALMOUTH man has been fined for a speeding on the A30 at Roseworthy, near Camborne.

Johnathan Ian Alexander Pirie, aged 53, of Oakfield Road, was fined £100, had his licence endorsed with six points and was ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge by Truro magistrates.

A CUT-THROAT razor was one of two offensive weapons carried by a Penzance man who has appeared before Truro magistrates.

Mateuas Marceli Stacha, aged 31, of Chapel Street, admitted carrying the weapon in a public place and to another charge of carrying an extendable baton. He also pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis.

He must carry out 150 hours of unpaid work as part of community order and he was ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

Carl Anthony Farrand, aged 22, of Dingles Close, admitted the offence which took place on October 19 last year on Station Road, Truro.

Megan Fionna Gotts, of Rosewarne Downs, Camborne, admitted the offence at Pool on December 21.

Ionut Lupu, aged 26, of Albert Place, admitted the offence on November 18 at Loggans, Hayle.

He had eight points placed on his licence and was ordered to pay £85 costs and £44 victim surcharge.

A REDRUTH man admitted to failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver of a Jaguar who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

Stephen Derek Odgers, aged 54, of Green Lane, was fined £440 by Bodmin magistrates. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £44 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with six points.
