Helston Town Council has finally reached the end of its journey in trying to plant up the town's roundabouts, after going round in circles for almost a decade.
Councillors have been trying for years to improve the look of the entrances in to the town, by adding plants to the centre of key roundabouts.
Various barriers have been put in their way, including health and safety restrictions. However, on April 1 this year Helston Town Council took over responsibility for the maintenance of the roundabouts on Falmouth Road and outside Helston Rugby Club.
As a result, at long last, one roundabout has been planted up and the other will receive similar treatment in the near future.
Trevena Cross Nurseries at Breage has donated the plants, while the planting has been done by the Cormac Horticultural Team and Helston Town Council's new maintenance man Ian Moore.
Town clerk Chris Dawson said: "This is a fine example of teamwork and partnership working."
