An evening of classical guitar will be held in a stunning garden near Praze-an-Beeble in aid of a Cornwall-based charity that raises funds for orphaned children in South Africa.

Tom and Margaret Kumsang will be opening their Quarry Garden at Five Acre Farm to the public for the event on Saturday June 16, which will feature David Farmer on classical guitar.

Those attending will be treated to a buffet supper included in the price of the ticket, and there will be a variety of garden games on offer as guests are invited to explore the garden and arboretum.

Funds raised from the event will go towards the registered charity Global Natural Healthcare Trust.

The Truro-based charity was founded in 2001 to work with children in South Africa who have been orphaned as a result of the AIDS epidemic.

The charity recently built a hospice for ten terminally ill children with funds that were largely raised in Cornwall. They are currently raising money for a new generator, a bus for patients, and a maize milling machine in South Africa.

Five Acre Farm is on the B3280 between Praze and Black Rock. There will be plenty of parking spaces at the event and a marquee on site in case the weather does not hold up.

Booking is essential for catering purposes, and tickets can be booked by emailing kirkhampat@aol.com by June 13 and collected at the gate on the day.

The cost is £15 per person (including buffet) and £5 for children under 12.

The event will run from 3pm to 7pm on Saturday June 16, with the buffet being served from 5:30pm.
