There is still time to catch the latest immersive exhibition from Helston’s Central Methodist Church, which this time leads visitors through the life of St Peter.

Following on from the acclaimed Narnia Experience in 2015 and Prophet’s Progress last year, Peter’s Miraculous Journey gives snapshots of Peter’s life, from when he started out as a fishermen, his becoming a disciple, his denial of Jesus and his subsequent role in founding the Christian church.

In every area of the display there is a piece on information to read explaining about what it signifies, a prayer to say, something to think about and something to collect, whether that is a feather representing the cockerel crowing as Peter denied Jesus, a fish and heart representing how Jesus forgave Peter or a piece of chain for when Peter was thrown in prison by other religious leaders who disagreed with what he and Jesus were saying.

The exhibition ran all last week for children from primary schools in the Helston and Lizard area to visit. During their visits actors played various roles, helping the pupils understand each area before they took part in activities downstairs to emphasise the different points raised. Almost 600 children visited in this time.

It is now open to the general public until the end of Friday, open 10am to 4.30pm and 6.30pm to 9.15pm each day.
