A SERIAL speeder has been banned from driving following a string of offences.

Li Ying Meng, aged 53, of Manor Cottages, exceeded the legal limit in a Mercedes E240 on five separate occasions - four of which were in Plymouth and one on the A30 at Victoria.

The Plymouth charges took place on October 31 and November 1st, 9th and 10th last year, when she exceeded the 30mph limit on Wolseley Road. The Victoria offence took place on February 8.

Meng, who pleaded guilty to the offences, has been banned by Bodmin magistrates for six months and was fined a total of £575 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a victim surcharge of £30.

DRIVING whilst using a mobile phone has resulted in a Cury man having six points on his licence.

Bodmin magistrates heard how William Scott Black, aged 40, of Parc an Drea, Cross Lanes, drove a BMW in Redruth whilst using the device on January 31.

Black admitted the offence and was also fined £125 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A MULLION man has been banned from the roads for six months after driving without insurance and a licence.

Aaron Paul Horner, aged 36, of Churchtown, drove a Honda at Chiverton Cross on January 16.

He was also fined £660 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £66 victim surcharge. The disqualification was obligatory due to repeat offending.

A CAMBORNE man has been fined £660 for driving without insurance.

Phillip John Sampson, aged 39, of Pengegon Parc, drove a Peugeot at Chiverton Cross on January 11 and has had his licence endorsed with six points.

He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £66 victim surcharge.

FAILING to stop at a red light resulted in a fine for a Hayle man.

Harvey James Polglase, aged 48, of The Pathway Fields, committed the offence near Plymouth on January 27.

He was fined £52 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with three points.

A MAN who drove too fast in a motorvan on the A30 near Camborne has been fined £200 by Bodmin magistrates.

Sam Rule Richards, aged 34, of Chili Road, Illogan Highway, admitted committing the offence on January 30.

His licence was endorsed with six points and he was ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

WOOD positioned illegally in a Skoda resulted in a fine for a 52 year-old man.

Owen Braines, of Roskrow, near Penryn, admitted placing timber next to the head of a passenger, which was held in place by the front passenger seat head rest and the seat belt.

He was fined £76 and had three points on his licence. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A POOL man has admitted speeding on the A30 at Victoria, Bodmin magistrates heard.

Wai Keung Cheung, aged 59, of Townfield, committed the offence in an Audi S4 on January 22.

He was fined £200 and had his licence endorsed with six points. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a victim surcharge of £30.

A CAMBORNE man who drove with no insurance has had eight points placed on his licence by Truro magistrates.

Daniel John Tonkin, aged 32, of Park an Tansys, Pengegon, admitted committing the offence on February 26 in Camborne.

He was fined £363 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £36 victim surcharge.
