Crop circles found in Helston?

Alien spacecraft may have been operating over Helston recently - or it could just be the work of local youngsters.

Crop circles - a phenomenon some believe show aliens attempting to communicate with us - are said to have appeared in a field on the edge of the town, according to a resident of the nearby Gwelmeneth housing estate.

The resident, who asked not to be named, said she did not believe in UFOs, but was at a loss to explain the "perfectly formed" circles spotted in the field on Sunday evening.

"I thought it was a hoax but it's too perfect," she said. "There aren't any tracks where people have gone in and the corn isn't broken, which is what happens if it's man made. It's just bent over in a perfect spiral pattern.

"There are outer rings with the corn left standing upright inside them. The lines are really crisp - it's just too perfect to be the work of kids."

The resident reported the phenomenon to the Crop Circle Research Organisation, and also contacted RNAS Culdrose in a bid to secure an aerial shot of the field.

Culdrose spokesman Ian Mackay said crews had been asked to keep an eye out as they were flying over the area and take a photograph if they spotted anything unusual, but no one had reported seeing anything out of the ordinary.

Crop circles - geometric patterns that appear in fields - are believed by some to represent messages from alien spacecraft.

Others have come up with theories of vortexes, lightning, plasma and other less occult explanations involving natural forces such as wind, heat and animals.

The more sceptical believe most, if not all, of the designs are the work of pranksters.

What do you think of the so-called crop circles? Have your say below.

Would love to see more photos of what looks like a fairly large crop formation (from the one photo provided here) near Helston. Although a number of crop formations are man-made (particularly, it seems, in the UK where it also appears some people have rather too much time on their hands and not too much to occupy their heads, either), there is a genuine phenomenon which is occurring in many (if not all) countries around the globe. And has been for some time now.

For readers interested in what has been discovered so far through scientific examination of the crop circle plants and soils--results which rule out mechanical flattening of the plants--please check out our web-site: www.bltresearch.com.

Something very interesting is going on....a lot more intriguing than bored lads mucking about in the fields. And it doesn't look like it's slowing down at all.

I have reviewed hundred of crop circles. It seems to be rather easy to spot a fake circle as they are generally not symmetrical and the crops are damaged and broken and footprints and paths are left behind. Also, they only can do one or two a night. However on some occasions dozens of crop circles are made in one night. They are very detailed and elaborate. The crops are nothing more than bent over and layered at times with each layer going a differt direction. One will go clockwise and the layer below will go counter to that. Also, those who do make crop circles are doing it for secondary gain, normally, attention. But the more complicated ones noone comes forward and are able to reduplicate them in the same time frame with the same precision as the original. So, there is something to this phenomenon and it should at least get the attention of the government and an investigation should be forth coming. Even if one of these crop circles are made via supernatural means or even if one UFO report out of the thousands that are reported, is truly a UFO then the implications to that finding would be the most important discovery since Christ rose from his tomb. It is time for the ridicule factor to go away. We treat astrologist and palm readers with more ligitimacy than we do these honest citizens who come forward and tell what they have seen. That is just my point of view. GO CUBS!!!

Go Nancy! - very pleasantly surprised to see Ms Talbott, a peer-reviewed researcher, say her piece in a bid to dispel the ignorance that pervades the press and public on this important matter - I was about to point people to bltresearch.com myself, for its wealth of compelling scientific evidence that crushes the prankster theory. I'm personally of the opinion that it is the minority of our formations in the UK that are man-made and the majority are genuine. You only have to study the geometry and do the math to get a better perspective on these complex, encoded glyphs. This is mankinds' wake-up call, from ultra-intelligent beings that are introducing themselves gently, until we're all ready to take notice and welcome them. Bear in mind, many in the UK still have difficulty embracing our European neighbours. It's about time folk started opening their minds! It's a very big Universe!

If it is, as police suspect, a key link appears to be David Basi, a
powerful ministerial aide who was fired after his legislative offices were
searched two weeks ago. Mr. Basi had access to confidential government
files -- including multimillion-dollar plans to privatize the Coquihalla
Highway and to sell parts of B.C. Rail. Unverified reports in the B.C.
media allege the legislative end of the investigation involves his handling of the BC Rail file.
