A SUSPECTED case of swine flu has been identified in a year nine student at Helston College today.
Pupils at the school were sent home from school today with a letter for parents.
It said: "We have been alerted to a suspected case of swine flu affecting a year nine student at the college.
"The health authority has moved from a strategy of containment to acceptance and it is inevitable that the virus will spread more widely amongst the general population over the coming weeks."
It said the school will not be closing and people should carry on with their normal routines.
The letter also offers advice about swine flu.
