Memory Books look at village life in Mullion

Memory Books looking at village life in Mullion over the last century have been enjoyed at an open day of Mullion Heritage Association. The WI, Old Cornwall Society and Horticultural Society all have large albums full of photographs from their events in past years, while Mullion Methodist Church showed scrapbooks of the fundraising involved in their improvement scheme.

Playgroup memories were jogged with the group’s hundreds of photographs and many scrapbooks, and there were records of Rosemary Bray's Junior Club which met for many years and enjoyed fun activities.

Monday Club, with their motto of ‘fun and fundraising’, had many memories to share and the famous albums of every Mullion wedding couple were of great interest to all.

Pauline Rowse, from the heritage association, said: “An excellent crowd came during the afternoon to browse, reminisce and enjoy a cup of tea. Everyone enjoyed the chance to remember in a relaxed and leisurely atmosphere.”

Mullion Heritage Centre, based at the back of Mullion Methodist Chapel, is open on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday afternoons from 2pm and 4pm. Entry is free and everyone is welcome.
