Double the pupils at Germoe pre-school

Ten months after welcoming a new manager Germoe Pre-school has seen pupil numbers more than double and is looking at a sunny future.

Sharon Dunn took over the running of the pre-school last November and since then the number of pupils has risen from six to 16.

An Ofsted inspection in March judged the pre-school to be ‘good’ – the second highest grading – and in April staff and parents raised £400 for pre-school funds through a fun dog show.

The pre-school is a registered charity and run by a committee. Pre-school assistant Elizabeth Keating praised new manager Sharon saying: “New staff brings new enthusiasm.”

The pre-school caters for children between the ages of two and four and feeds into the adjoining primary school.
