On Sunday morning Pastor Bill Reed was preacher.

'Band Corner' comprised Paul Jenkin, Mary Louise, Megan and Peter Benney until the Nativity practise started downstairs. Paul (womble) Coombs is in Berlin playing with the South Wales Police Band. Pastor Bill read a short piece from the letter to the Hebrews at the commencement of the service, he also related to the children about a trip to Israel some time ago, which I'm sure, some of them will remember about St Piran's Flag.

Helen Jenkin read from Mark chapter 10 v 17-31; Peter Gordon took up the offering. All the songs came from 'Songs of Fellowship'.

Sermon time told the story of the rich man (much wealth) who turned down the chance to work with Jesus. Included in the service was the 'Sacrament of Holy Communion. At the evening service, the Rev David Pountain came all the way from Porthleven to be the Breaney Preacher; with no evening service at Porthleven two or three cars came and swelled the congregation. A topical sketch performed by Mr and Mrs Pountain, anything can be so different at Breaney evening services and the sketch became in effect the theme. Reading from Matthew chapter 6 v 19 to end.

A very thoughtful sermon with hymns with tunes played by Paul Jenkin.
