In a brief respite from the winter storms 14 people enjoyed a soup and bacon roll brunch at the home of Peggy Mildren on Tuesday, February 11.
The event was in aid of the friends of St Sithney Church and raised £93. Winners of the raffle were: Peggy Macgregor, Peggy Mildren, Valerie Trueman, Veronica Palmer, Ron Mildren, Don Macgregor and Elizabeth Schofield.
The monthly coffee morning was held at Mellangoose, Sithney Green, home of Elizabeth Schofield. Due to the inclement weather only a few attended but was enjoyable beside a log fire. Thanks were given to Elizabeth for her hospitality. Raffle winners were: M Sargeant, R Mildren, R Williams, E Brown, P Mansell and E Hunter. Forty two pounds was raised for church funds.
On Sunday, the third before Lent, the service was taken by the Rev John Palmer; lessons where read by Peggy Macgregor and Ron Mildren; organist was Trefor Bowen.
