On Easter Four week the preacher was Paul Brown who was introduced by Paul Combellack, vestry steward, who mentioned two interesting items.

Paul Jenkin was organist with Mary Louise flute, Sarah Fuller acoustic guitar and Paul Coombs playing bongos. The children went downstairs when the Sunday school went for their classes. The offering was taken up by Peter Gordon and a young person.

We were disappointed to hear that Peter Benney has had to go back to hospital again, we are encouraged to keep on praying.

The readings were from John chapter 10 v 1-10, Luke chapter 15 the lost sheep, with Psalm 23 sung by the congregation. Nigel had the hymns projected on the screen with the readings. Points from the sermon were: Restore the soul, our relationship with God, the parable of the lost sheep. Mr Brown sang a solo including the words 'there were ninety nine that safely lay in the shelter of the fold' He leads us, God is with us. There were various prayers and a blessing. The final hymn was Just as I am without one plea.

Coffee Time was with Valerie Searle and Peter Gordon.

Local Church Arrangement, church member Mike Trounson and son Thomas took the evening service.

Paul Jenkin and Sarah Fuller provided the music for the two hymns and Psalms and two from Songs of Fellowship. Mike gave the scripture readings which came from quotations of single verses from the Bible, several linking portions to explain what is needed. Thomas was involved in two or more sketches and operated the CD player!
